Over the course of his career artist Pascal Paquette has developed and refined a style that is distinctly his own. The visual vocabulary of abstraction, minimalism and pop art is anchored by his street art aesthetic. The subject matter in Paquette’s paintings is as wide-ranging as the locations where he creates his work. His artworks are rooted in place, drawing their content from aspects of the natural world around. While he frequently paints in urban settings, he brings the energy and imagery of nature into these spaces to create visually rich and exciting environments. His unique and sought-after art, which he creates with regard to community character, has aesthetically enhanced city spaces in Canada and internationally.

Paquette’s work has been commissioned, published and exhibited notably at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA), Canadian Heritage as well as Art Basel (Switzerland), Art Basel Miami, FIAC (Paris, France), Art Chicago (USA), Art Cologne (Köln, Germany) and Scope (London, UK). The Ontario Arts Council, British Arts Council, European Cultural Fund, Open Society Foundation and Toronto Arts Council have all supported his projects. He currently lives in Toronto, Canada with his partner and three children.
